TCC’s Management Team

Jim Meier is the President of The Training and Consulting Connection, the business he founded in 1991 following a 15 year career with Union Pacific Railroad. Since 1976 Jim has worked nationally and internationally as an organization development consultant, executive coach, life coach, trainer, keynote presenter and facilitator. Jim frequently teaches and writes articles in his areas of expertise: Leadership Intelligence, Progressive Change, Intrapersonal Skills, Directed Innovation and Creativity, Team Dynamics and Sports Psychology. He has hosted a weekly, hour long internet radio talk show, Championship Thinking, since 2005. Jim has authored two books and developed numerous sets of training materials.

Tate Meier, Vice President of The Training and Consulting Connection, has been with TCC since 2004. Tate’s background in management, recruiting and business development has proven valuable to the continued growth of TCC. Tate’s responsibilities include managing business operations, strategic planning, financial planning, customer relations and project management.
Tate received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Speech Communication from Wayne State College and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside while he was the UW-Parkside baseball pitching coach.

Jim May, Senior Manager with The Training and Consulting Connection, has been with TCC since 1999. Jim’s primary duties include project management for several TCC training initiatives and administrative duties within the day-to-day operations of the business.
Jim’s background includes work with national and international clients conducting training and facilitation in areas such as employee selection and retention, leadership skills, managing change, project management and Total Quality Management. Jim also manages an annual Leadership Development Institute for Lions Clubs International. He helps develop the curriculum and select and coach its instructors.

Don Morning, Manager of Business Development for The Training and Consulting Connection, has been in the railroad industry as a supplier and customer since 1981. He has worked in the United States and Canada as a consultant, director of business development, account manager, rail equipment specialist, and manager of sales. Don has broad experience in operations, maintenance, training, and information systems. Don has well developed analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills which make him a great asset for TCC and its customers. He is capable of handling a multitude of customer schedules and demands in order to ensure project success. |
