facilitating work groups

TCC staff has served as facilitators in many settings requiring various facilitative styles. This includes working with an organization's staff to tailor design a meeting process as well as facilitating and debriefing the meeting. Primary examples where TCC functions in a facilitator role include:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Vision, Values and Mission Development
  • Systematic Problem Solving
  • Team Building
  • Think Tank Groups
  • Customer/Organization Partnering
  • Product or Service Innovation/Ideation
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Negotiation
  • Labor-Management Cooperation
  • Goal Formation

TCC's facilitation styles and roles vary according to specific client needs. These include:

  • Leading a group or team through its agenda
  • Supporting a meeting leader by facilitating the group dynamics aspect of the meeting
    • Hands-on (directive)
    • Hands-off (non-directive)
  • Creating a strong participatory, interactive meeting climate
  • Teaching facilitative skills to staff

In all cases, we facilitate within the boundaries of an established organization's values and behavioral norms. If a clear set of organizational values and behavioral norms either do not exist or are in need of modification, we will also assist the organziation in this development step.
