CHAMPIONSHIP THINKING

TCC's customers consistently share with us their desire and need for employees at all levels that can do the following:

  • believe in themselves...their abilities, their capabilities and their resolve to make things happen
  • capitalize on good habits and possess the know how and willingness to discard unhelpful habits
  • come to work and live life with an infectious and positive attitude + bounce back from setbacks and failure...quickly and stronger
  • exhibit confidence and pass it on
  • Set and reach meaningful goals
  • manage anxiety, uncertainty and rapid change in a way that yields positive outcomes for them and their organization
  • tap into and focus their creative and innovative energy
  • lock onto the positive and, although not totally ignoring it, lock out the negative
  • a realistically healthy dose of self-worth

For these reasons TCC developed CHAMPIONSHIP THINKING. The course, which contains 14 segments, has taken leading research and theory from the broad field of cognitive science and put it into plain, usable language. The result is a practical and proven learning experience where the 20+ individual concepts are learned and then combined into a powerful and immediately applicable set of mental tools.

Once learned, Championship Thinking skills produce Championship Doing results. A person, work group/team and entire organization begins to CONSISTENTLY excel. This is because the material teaches how to get your thinking in shape AND keep it in shape. And when this happens 1) all other skills, knowledge and information are maximized and 2) people are naturally capable and willing to take on bigger bites. An extremely positive and lasting self-fulfilling prophecy takes hold.

This material has regularly been customized to an organization's needs in these ways:

  • concepts delivered with reference to the organization culture, priorities and structure.
  • material related to audience including appropriate examples
  • flexibility to work schedules

Following are examples where Championship Thinking was cutomized to organizations and work groups with individual evaluation comments:

"The "Championship Thinking" seminar certainly lived up to its name. I often reflect on the motto you shared with us during the seminar: "Settle for nothing less than the greatness that lives deep within you . . . and forever seek to discover and know that very greatness." Solid advice, indeed. Jim, I would not hesitate to recommend your "Championship Thinking" seminar to my friends and colleagues."
